All documents must be in English
HAWB must show actual true freight charges otherwise IATA rate will be applied as the Value for Customs at destination
Consignee is to be stated in full by importer of record, importers address, phone number and contact person
Goods not cleared or unclaimed within 21 days of arrival are sent to Customs warehouse.
Goods which have been in Customs warehouse for three months will be sent for disposal by public auction.
China Customs at origin require details of MAWB consignee and HAWB consignee tax i.d / VAT number to process export entry.
THE FOLLOWING HAS TO BE UNDERTAKEN PRIOR TO EXPORT AT ORIGIN
Pre-shipment Verification of Conformity (PVoC) and Certificate of Conformity (CoC)
Goods of F.O.B value 1000000 XAF (approx 1525 EUR) and under are not subject to PVoC
PVoC is required or all goods imported into Ivory Coast valued over 1000000 XAF (1525 EUR approx)
PVoC has to be arranged by the shipper and not their appointed freight forwarder or any other outside entity.
Once PVoC inspection and processing is complete at origin, the inspecting agent issues shipper with a Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
Shipper is responsible for ensuring the CoC is sent to the consignee prior to shipment arriving at destination.
The following goods are exempt from PVoC :
Gold and other precious metals
Precious stones
Explosives, arms, ammunitions and other war materials intended to national armed forces and forces of order
Live animals
Fresh vegetable and fruits
Fresh and frozen meat
Plants and floriculture products
Local products of traditional crafts from community origin
Pharmaceutical products and raw materials used in pharmaceutical products manufacturing
Newspapers and periodical magazines, postage stamps, revenue stamps, bank notes, check books, passports and certain other printed documents
Personal belongings and used household effects
Used vehicles
Crude oil or partially refined
Imports for diplomatic entitles or international organizations for their own use
Production machinery subject or benefiting from exemption as part of investments code on request sent to the follow-up committee of the PVoC program
