HAWB must show actual true freight charges otherwise IATA rate will be applied as the Value for Customs
Consignee is to be stated in full by name of importer, importers address, phone number and contact person
China Customs at origin require details of MAWB consignee and HAWB consignee tax i.d / VAT number to process export entry.
THE FOLLOWING HAS TO BE UNDERTAKEN PRIOR TO EXPORT AT ORIGIN
Pre Shipment inspection (PSI) is required and must be undertaken by the commercial shipper at origin prior to air export.
Shipments with a total F.O.B value of 2000000 CFA (XAF) and under are exempt from PSI.
PSI can only be arranged by the commercial shipper using SGS at place of goods origin.
The following goods are exempt from Pre-Export shipment inspection :
Used personal and household effects
Gold, precious stones, objects of art
Explosive and pyrotechnic products
Arms and ammunitions other than those for hunting and/or sport
Live animals
Current newspapers and periodicals
Non commercial parcel post
Commercial samples
Donations from foreign Governments or international organisations, welfare and philanthropic organisations recognized of public interests
Gifts and supplies imported by Consular and diplomatic missions, or United Nations sponsored organisations
for their own use.
